Epic served as a multi-disciplinary subconsultant to Lythgoe Design Group on the Heber Cemetery Columbarium project in Heber City, Utah, providing structural engineering and geotechnical evaluations, as well as mechanical, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and snowmelt design services.
Structural Engineering
Structural engineering services included structural calculations and drawings, coordination through the design phase, and a stamped final set of plans for permit submittal.
MEP Services
The mechanical and plumbing scope included HVAC and ventilation design, equipment specifications, load calculations, plumbing and sanitary/venting design, oil interceptor sizing, and natural gas piping design, along with coordination with the civil, electrical, and architectural teams and response to plan review comments and submittals. The electrical and lighting scope covered finish power design, fixture specifications, fault current calculations, lighting design including site photometrics, and panel schedules and details. Epic also designed the snowmelt system, including tubing layout, equipment specifications, and manifold locations.
Geotechnical Services
The geotechnical scope included field investigation (test pits), laboratory testing, and a full analysis and report covering foundation recommendations, bearing capacity, lateral earth pressures, and geologic hazards.
