This project involved the full MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) design for a commercial kitchen and doughnut shop located in Foothill Village in Salt Lake City. The scope began with an initial site visit to document existing building conditions, utilities, and equipment, which informed the subsequent design work. Mechanical and plumbing services included:
- HVAC and ventilation design
- Heating and cooling load calculations
- Hot and cold water piping
- Sanitary and venting design
- Natural gas piping
- Grease interceptor sizing
- Coordination with the commercial kitchen hood and ventilation designer
Electrical design services covered:
- Full finish power and lighting design
- Verification of existing electrical service and equipment
- Fault current calculations
- Panel schedules
- Coordination with architecture and mechanical
All required compliance reports, equipment specifications, and calculations were produced as part of this effort. Throughout the project, the team addressed plan review comments, responded to RFIs, and reviewed selected contractor equipment submittals.
