Epic Engineering, a full-service architecture and engineering firm with 20+ years of professional experience, has a full-time opening for a structural project engineer to join our structures department. You will have the opportunity to work with our tremendous Structural Engineering team and be an integral part in the success of the department.

Experience with Revit, and structural software such as Enercalc and RISA, as well as with writing custom Excel spreadsheets, are a must. Experience working with and training a team of engineers is preferred.

Your abilities should include:

  • Perform structural calculations and design for light-framed buildings
  • Meet deadlines and client expectations
  • Assure design quality and functionality
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

This position requires knowledge of applicable federal, state and local building codes and safety laws. Work requires advanced math skills, special relationship abilities, and the ability to understand problems and have good engineering judgment and communication skills.

You will start out working on light-framed residential projects and progress to larger and more complicated building projects and other miscellaneous structures over time. This role can potentially develop into a senior project engineer position or a project manager position.

Requirements:  Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred). Professional Engineer (PE) license not required.

Experience:  0-7 years of related experience required; 2-5 years preferred.

Salary: $63,000 - $105,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
