Epic Engineering’s experts planned and designed the Big Willow 511 kW hydroelectric generation facility with a high capacity turbo impulse turbine. This design is capable of handling high pressures, along with high sand and silt contents known to be found in Big Willow. Epic’s design also incorporated a penstock, all associated valving, and the tailrace. Our experts oversaw the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s permitting process, funding and the construction management of the project.
